Enjoy painting flowers and pods by learning color mixing, applying layers and detailed brushwork in this all-day workshop led by botanical artist Lara Call Gastinger, illustrator of The Flora of Virginia. All artistic levels welcome! Paints are provided but other supplies are necessary for the student to bring. See supply list online.

You will need to bring the following supplies for this Botanical Painting Class (paint will be provided)
- round watercolor paintbrushes (Raphael Kolinsky sable # 8408 size 4, 2 or Series 7 brushes)
- water dish
- watercolor palette (a white dinner plate is recommended)
- kneaded eraser
- HB pencil
- approximately 11x14 sheet of HOT press 300 lb watercolor paper (Fabriano)
- small portable desk light (optional)
