Join in the festivity and fun during our annual Monticello Holiday Classic 5K and Deck the Halls Kids Dash! This family-oriented 5K begins at the East Walk of Monticello and ends at the David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center and Smith Education Center. Kids 2–12 can enjoy the Deck the Halls Kids Dash, a loop around the West Lawn within the shadows of Monticello. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Kids Dash starts at 8:10am and the Holiday Classic starts at 8:20am.
Friends and family of racers are welcome to watch the beginning of the race at the top of the mountain. Please be aware that the shuttle service back to the Visitor Center will cease at 8 AM due to the race and will not resume again until 9 AM. If spectators want to return to the Visitor Center before then, they can walk down via the .6 mile cemetery trail.
